I talked to him once, for a little bit. The telepath thing never really came up organically in the conversation.

[ Not really who she'd pick to go up against a bunch of monsters just on first impressions alone, but then Severus is asking a tiny blonde who just readily admitted she was a cheerleader at one point, so who is she to judge? One way or another, she thinks, the whole regeneration thing is going to come up. And she can't actively sit back and let someone she just made brownies for head into potential death without her trying to get in the way. ]

I never actually got to engineering. [ Maybe she shouldn't point that out. ] I'd be interested in seeing what their genetics department still has in it.

[ Normally, Severus wouldn't ask - anyone, much less her, brownies aside. But he's curious about Ms Might Be Heat Resistant Or Whatever, and he wonders about what'll happen. On the venture, and between her and a muggle with superhuman powers. ]

As am I. I'm more interested in the manticores, truth be told, but I am skeptical that they're still around.

[ Genetics always catch her attention, given certain undeniable truths about her, but if you put dangerous monsters that are a hodgepodge of different species, she's not going to say no to that. This place is boring in its downtime, anyway. ]

Where could they have gone? It's not like this place is landing anywhere anytime soon? Deeper into the ship, maybe?

That or merely died of starvation. I'm not sure what they're meant to sustain themselves on without eating the passengers or making stops in the gardens for produce.

Now I'm imagining a bunch of dead bodies just stashed away somewhere as dog food. Thanks for that.

They could have eaten each other, I suppose.

That's not actually that much better. I mean, it's better but not - The last one standing would probably be a real pain in the ass.

They're supposedly part human. I just wonder if they can communicate somehow.

Everything communicates somehow. It's just a matter of figuring it out.

[ She'd like to talk to him about that mutiny attempt. He seemed logical and impartial enough when she spoke to him, after all. ]
