Yes, because my body can tolerate potions that regrow vanished bones without going into shock and killing me. Also without interference I'd live upwards of 200 years.

I would say being a professor also negates being a blockhead but some of my colleagues make me wonder.

I don't think not being a blockhead and being a professor are mutually exclusive. You could live for 200 years?

Our headmaster is 103 and can still outclass me embarrassingly in a duel.

I don't think so. I would like to see my students live for as long as they're able. Most don't. Our population has been halved and halved again by war.

Plenty, if you don't count the times when non magical people have been trying to exterminate us.
